We have learned from the curling iron incident that as I am getting ready for work we have to shut the bathroon door BUT as you can see from the pics, Alex was trying to open the bathroom door yesterday. He actually put his little walker in front of the door and stood on it to open the door. I gotta say he's a very smart kid!!!

I can't believe that Alex is 1 years old today. He has been such a blessing to Rob and I and as I look back at his first year I am just filled with so many happy emotions. My birthday wish for him is to live life to the fullest and to never give up at life's trials that lie ahead of him and most importantly to always keep God nearby.

OUCH

It seems lately that Alex has been very attached to me so as I was getting ready for work yesterday, he wanted to stay in the bathroon with me and as usual he was trying to see what trouble he could get into and he pulled the cord down on the curling iron and yes you guessed it, it burned his face. He cried for a split second and then kept on playing.

CROUP

O.K. I love this weather but it makes kids more susceptible to respiratory viruses. Alex has viral CROUP and he literally sounds like a barking dog when he coughs. Pooor baby has to get breathing treatments and he has not slept well for the past 3 nights. Needless to say neither have Rob and I. Please pray for his healing and for strength for Rob and I.

First Haircut

Today Alex had his first haircut. Mommy was soooo worried that he was going to cry but he did very well. He sat in a little taxi car and watched a sing-a-long Elmo video. It wasn't until the very end when they used the electric trimmer that he started to cry. I was very pleased with the cut. He looks like a Big boy now.

I can't believe I gave in and started a blog. I thought this would be a convenient way to keep our friends and family informed about our lives. Along with working at Navarro Regional Hospital as a RN in Labor & Delivery, I am married to the greatest man alive (Rob) of 6 years. We have one son Alex Robert who was born on November 12,2006. He has brought so much joy to both our lives.
