Big Boy Bed
Well I think that we have finally reached a new milestone, Alex now has a big boy bed. Since Alex was about 10 months old he slept with Mommy and Daddy but it was Mommy who was not sleeping because Alex is a wild sleeper with him tossing and turning all night so ENOUGH is ENOUGH. We are in the process of redoing Alex's room in the theme Disney's Cars. On Sunday we bought Alex a Cars toddler bed with matching sheets and comforter. We tried it out for the very time last night and needless to say Mommy was very proud of him. Our routine at night is to take a bath, then get Alex's sippy cup and then he is tucked into Mommy and Daddy's bed and we watch at least one cartoon that we recorded from the day on KERA. Hopefully Alex is asleep by then but last night our routine was broken. Alex does not have a TV in his room so we took a bath and then tucked him into his new bed and read him a book and then lights were out and it took Alex about 15 minutes to fall asleep. What suprised me the most was that he slept all night even through the storms but Mommy was up constantly checking on him. This morning about 6:10 I heard him in the living room and he had gotten out of his bed and had some of his toys in the living room and was just playing by himself. Hopefully it will be this easy for the nights ahead. 
15 Months Old
I can't believe how fast Alex is growing up. I remember coming home from the hospital and the sleepless nights and feedings but now I am constantly wondering what's he into and making sure the bathroom door is shut because he has now figured out how to open the toilet seat and loves playing in the water. It just amazes me the new things that he is doing and the words that he is learning but everything is MOMMA, MOMMA & MOMMA. Alex went for his well checkup yesterday and he was 23lbs & 6 ozs and 30 1/2 inches.
