A Trip to the ER

Yes, I can say this pregnancy has been very different compared to Alex. My morning sickness seems to happen every night around 7 and sure enough last night around 7 I started throwing up and then the diarrhea hit me. Finally around 3 this morning I called my OB doc because it seems it was getting worse and throwing up every 30 mins and I was starting to cramp real bad so we made a trip to the ER. They gave me some medicine for the nausea and IV fluids and finally came home around 10. I just feel sooo weak :(

Getting Ready for Christmas!!!!

Yesterday Rob and I put up the Christmas tree with a little help from Alex. He was more interested in the decorations on the tree. Everytime I would put the balls on the tree it would come down because he wanted to throw it and say "CATCH". Already this morning he had taken 4 balls from the tree soooo let's just say we have a ball thief on our hands.

Gratitude

As I was surrounded by family and friends yesterday for Thanksgiving dinner, I realized I have soooo much to be thankful for this holiday season. I am soooo thankful for the newest addition that will be joining us sometime around July 11th. Rob and I have struggled with getting pregnant on our own and finally got pregnant with Alex using fertility treatments and we tried again in August doing the same fertility treatment (intrauterine insemination) but it did not take. Needless to say Rob and I were very disappointed but we understand that it wasn't God's will that time and looking back now I was under alot of stress and cut back my hours at work. We were planning on doing another IUI in November but we actually got pregnant on our own. We had out first DR visit Wednesday that confirmed that I am about 7 weeks but I have already gained 6 pounds and I have noticed that I have a little tummy now and my clothes are already getting tighter and this pregnancy has been very different with Alex. I have had alot of nausea and fatigue all the time. I will go back to the DR on Thursday to do a sonogram to rule out a twin pregnancy since twins do run in my family and Rob and 2 sets on his side. Please pray for a healthy pregnancy without all the complication that I experienced with Alex. I think that I can do away with the seizures this time.

A Special Day for Maurissa!!!

Tonight Maurissa had a High School Musical birthday party at Chick-fil-a. The highlight of the party was the pink Nintendo DS that she received from Mommy and Daddy. After the party the girls kept up with the theme and went to see the movie. What a girls night out!!!!!

Yesterday we had a busy day celebrating Alex's 2nd birthday. We started the day with a birthday party at Mother's Day Out. We had cupcakes and balloons. That evening we took Alex to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday. He had a great time but was very afraid to see Chuck E Cheese on stage. Maybe next year Alex. Stay tune to see pics of Alex's birthday party at Chuck E Cheese this Saturday :)

Today we had Alex's 2 year pics done at Kiddie Kandids and I was very pleased with them. I don't know how they do it but they got Alex to sit still and look at the camera. How are a few of the ones we choose.

Brother or Sister??????

Yes, Alex is going to have a baby brother or sister. I just found out and was really quite surprised. I took a pregnancy test on Saturday and it was positive but I really didn't believe it then had some blood work done on Sunday that confirmed that I am about 4 weeks pregnant so that puts my due date around July 13th. I had just called the fertility doctor on Friday to do another round of fertility treament next month but I guess we won't need that because Rob and I actually got pregnant on our own. I am soooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!

For Halloween Alex went as a Texas Longhorn football player and I went as his cheerleader. Alex attended his first Halloween party/birthday party for a friend from work. HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY LINDSEY!!!!!!

Yesterday Alex and I met some friends at the the Dallas Arboretum for a playdate. This was Alex's first time in a pumpkin patch. It was a chore trying to get Alex to sit still for a smile for Halloween cards but here are some pics from the day!!!!!

Alex's First Day @ Mother's Day Out

Well today Alex started back to Mother's Day Out. We bought him a new "CARS" backpack and packed him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and then we were on our way. I was afraid that he was going to cry because he has been very clingy lately but once we got there I think that he knew because he ran right into the room and started playing with the other kids and toys :)

A Neighborhood Friend?????

NOT!!! I found this snake this morning on the deck. Panicked I called Justin to kill it because Rob was working so he came over and killed it. I know that it is only a baby snake but what scare me is is there a momma snake nearby?????

Who LoVeS ALEX?????

My sweet in-laws bought this playset for Alex. We will eventually take it outside but for now it going to stay in the house because it's another thing to keep Alex busy. Alex just loves it!!!!!

Rob and I try to read Alex a book at night before he goes to bed and on this particular night Alex just loved this book entitled "Let's go to the Zoo". He is learning sounds of animals and we are trying to teach him his numbers.

Alex had his first surgery today. Surprisingly he did very well. He went in to have a hydrocele repair to his right testicle but they also did a inguinal hernia repair too. He had a small incision with stitches and cries every once in awhile when the pain med wears off. He has slept most of the day. Hopefully he will be back to his normal self in a couple of days.
