Enjoying the Spring Weather

Triple Trouble

Last week Maurissa was on Spring Break and I was off the weekend so I thought it would be fun if the girls spent the night with me and they could sleep with Alex but it was a chore getting all 3 of them asleep. Alex went to sleep fine but Hannah wouldn't go to bed then around 10:30p.m. Alex's paci fell out of his mouth and he was crying so I put him in the bed with me until he fell asleep. As soon he was asleep I went to lie down with the girls until they fell asleep and then I finally went to sleep but then everyone was up early the next morning.

Maurissa is hogging all the blanket. POOR HANNAH!!!

Alex's New Chair

Alex loves his new chair- the spaghetti strainer.

Thankful

As I find myself writing this blog I am just filled with so many emotions. Alex is growing up too fast and is constantly into everything. Yesterday he got into my purse that was on top of the couch and somehow opened my pill bottle that had some Ambien (sleeping pill), Motrin and Tylenol in it. When I found him he had the Motrin coating which is orange all over his mouth and two of the Ambiens were missing the half piece. I was panicking and called Poison Control, by the way their number is 800-222-1222, and they instructed me that he took a dangerous amount and that I needed to take him to the ER. They got on the phone with Baylor ER to let them know what was going on. When we arrived there they were expecting us and immediately put us in a room and gave Alex some charcoal to drink which absorbs the pill fragments and they drew blood and obtained a urine sample. The blood work and urine sample came back normal so they just observed him for the next 5 hours and they took another blood sample and it came back normal so they let us go home which by this time was midnight. Eventhough Alex was acting fine I was still worried so he slept with me and I was constantly watching him and making sure he was still breathing. Alex is still acting normal and am very thankful that everything turned out O.K. but I keep wondering WHAT IF he had taken more. I couldn't imagine what life would be like without him. I just thank God that Alex is still here and words of advise, pill bottles are that child proof. I LOVE YOU ALEX!!!

Alex's Pacis

We are trying to get rid of Alex's pacificers but it hasn't been very easy. As you can see in the picture Alex has one in his mouth and one in his hand.

Baby Powder and Vaseline

Last week as I was sleeping during the day, Rob was on Alex watch but let's just say he wasn't actually watching Alex very carefully because Alex got into one of his baskets that I keep all of his extra baby lotions, etc...He somehow opened the vaseline jar and smeared it all over the dresser and floor and had it all over him and then he opened the baby powder and had it all over him and on his dresser.
